Dear Micki and Dennis:
Thank you for taking the time to meet with Bob and I last Friday, I believe we
accomplished a great deal. To ensure a clear understanding of our decisions, the
following will recap the key conclusions:
1. After the development of the infrastructure (water lines, sewer lines, etc.) into the
Gilroy Sports Complex, the fields that will house the Gilroy Little League will be
constructed first. This is already reflected in the Gilroy Sports Park Master Plan.
2. The fields will be built with a mound, grass infield, and a home run fence (all within
Little League specifications).
3. The issues of a flag pole installation, donors' recognition area, sponsor signs,
concessions, a storage building, and scheduling, all involve several City of Gilroy
policies. Since the fields will not be in operation for a few years, it is premature to go
through the process of deciding each of these issues at this time. However, the City
does commit to sit down and discuss each of these items with Gilroy Little League at
the appropriate time.
Gilroy Little League will contribute at least $100,000 towards the development of the
fields, and commits to continue to fundraise for future field improvement;'s;'oiC
