This order shall become effective when it has been signed by the City Administrator, City Engineer,
Project Engineer, and Contractor. All copies forwarded to Contractor for signature shall be returned to
The City of Gilroy properly filled out. Upon acceptance by the City, the Contractor's copy will be returned
to him as his authority to proceed with the work.
Description of Work
Relocate existing fire hydrant at Station 82 + 00 per attached Change Order Request No. 43 and Letter No. 84 dated
January 10, 2005.
All requirements of the original Contract Documents shall apply to the above work except as specifically
modified by this Change Order. The contract time shall not extend unless expressly provided for in this
Change Order.

RE: Santa Teresa Boulevard Widening Project No. 04-CDD-128
Fire Hydrant Revision at Station 82+00
The existing fire hydrant on the west side of Santa Teresa Boulevard at Station
82+00 is to remain in it's present location instead of being relocated to the east side
of the road as shown on Sheet 57 of the contract plans. The hydrant is to be adjusted
to maintain 3' clearance from the soundwall. In addition, a 6' wide concrete
walkway is to be placed from the curb to the fire hydrant as shown on the attached
detail.
This revision will result in a reduction in quantity for Bid Item Nos. 99 and 100.
Additional costs for this change will be paid at force account.
