This order shall become effective when it has been signed by the City Administrator, City Engineer,
Project Engineer, and Contractor. All copies forwarded to Contractor for signature shall be returned to
The City of Gilroy properly filled out. Upon acceptance by the City, the Contractor's copy will be returned
to him as his authority to proceed with the work.
Description of Work
Perform additional potholing ofPG&E utilities per attached Letter Nos. 51 & 88, and Change Order Request No. 45.
All requirements of the original Contract Documents shall apply to the above work except as specifically
modified by this Change Order. The contract time shall not extend unless expressly provided for in this
Change Order.

The PG&E underground cables shown on the attached drawings are to be potholed.
After having utilities located by USA, please coordinate with Mike McBride (PG&E)
at (408) 365-2267 to stand by while potholing is performed.
This work will be paid at force account.

PG&E Gas Line Conflicts
We are in receipt of your letter dated January 21,2005 providing pothole information
on the gas line per Section 15-2.5 of the Technical Specifications. The following is
an update on the status of the gas line conflicts:
ST A 24+00 Granite to pothole gas line. Work will be paid at force account.
ST A 27+00 Catch basin will be reconstructed in same location. No conflict.
ST A 35+55 Gas line will have to be relocated by PG&E. Granite to coordinate with
PG&E to expedite this relocation.
ST A 74+30 No conflict.
ST A 84+00 Granite to pothole gas line. Work will be paid at force account.
Also, in order to determine the extent of the conflicts with the streetlights, the gas
line is to be potholed at the following locations: Stations 27+80, 29+30, 30+70,
75+95, 77+45, 78+95, 80+45 and 81+95.
