All copies fOlWarded to Contractor for signature shall be returned to The City of Gilroy properly filled out. Upon acceptance by the City, the Contractor's copy will be returned to him as his authority to proceed with the work. Description of Work Furnish and install root barrier per attached Change Order Request No. 77 A and Letter No. 189 dated October 5, 2005. All requirements of the original Contract Documents shall apply to the above work except as specifically modified by this Change Order. Consideration oftime adjustment will be deferred until receipt of a Time Impact Analysis in accordance with Section 01310-6.0 of the Contract Documents. We will install the barriers at all of the Oak trees, (53) trees on both sides and at (5) trees at the curb side. III sections ($I05.00/section) Install the barriers between the electrical boxes & concrete Total Change Order Request $11.655,00 2.600.00 $14.~S5J!O The City's Jetter states that only the 36" box trees require the tree toot barriers. Does this mean none of the remaining trees will get root barriers? Or do we follow the detail on Drawing PL-2? Please Jet me know. If YOll bave any questions please contact my office. Box 720 Watsonville, CA 95077 ATTN: Mr. Steve Walter Letter No. 189 RE: Santa Teresa Boulevard Widening Project No. 04-CDD-128 Root Barrier Cost Proposal We are in receipt of Change Order Request No. 77 dated October 4, 2005 providing a cost proposal for furnishing and installing root barrier per RFI #41. We have determined that only the 36" box trees require root barrier. There are 53 trees in the median that will require root barrier on both sides, and 5 trees on the west side that will require root barrier adjacent to the curb. Please proceed with installation of 18" root barrier. A change order will be issued in the amount of $15,681.00. This includes the cost to remove and reinstall the electrical boxes in the' median.
