This order shall become effective when it has been signed by the City Administrator, City Engineer,
Project Engineer, and Contractor. All copies forwarded to Contractor for signature shall be returned to
The City of Gilroy properly filled out. Upon acceptance by the City, the Contractor's copy will be returned
to him as his authority to proceed with the work.
Description of Work
Construct tree wells on the east side of Santa Teresa Boulevard north of First Street per attached Letter
No. 208 and change Order Request No.1 09.
All requirements of the original Contract Documents shall apply to the above work except as specifically modified by
this Change Order. The contract time shall be extended by four (4) working days.

Tree Well Details
Please install 15 gallon Pyrus "Chanticleer" trees in the six tree wells on the east side
of Santa Teresa Boulevard north of First Street. The existing drip irrigation system
on the private property behind the sidewalk is to be extended to each of these tree
wells. The tree wells are to be constructed per the attached detail. Additional costs
for this work will be paid at force account. Restoration of the landscaping &
irrigation on the private property behind the sidewalk is included in Bid Items 49 &
50.
Also, the five Valley Oak trees shown on Sheet PL-2 on the west side of Santa
Teresa south ofWelbum Avenue are eliminated. These are to be replaced with the
15 gallon trees that were eliminated from other locations. Field direction will be
provided for the tree species and layout.
