RESOLUTION" NO. 11-1929 Olm:~!;HIFG
.JhEREAS, the Layor and Common Council of the City of
Gilroy did on the 13th day of ;,ay, 1929, pass its Resolution
of Intention No. 3-1929 to order certain work and improve-
ment to be made in said City, which Resolution of Intention
was duly and legally published as required by law, as appears
from the Affidavit of John 1;. lJall, novl on file in the office
of the City Clerk of said Oity; and
s, the said notices of the passase of the said
Resolution of Intention headed "Notice of Improvement",
were fully and legally posted along the respective lines
of said contemplated work and improvement, and also on and
along the open streets and alleys within the district des-
cribed in said :tesolution of Intention and shown upon a j/iap

~ile in the office of tb.e City Clerk, and the district to be

1'1' IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the l..ayor and Common Council
tha t the public interest Cl!:ld convenience pequired the work
herein described, and said Layor and Common Council does
hereby order the 1,'lork to be done and improvement to be made
in said City, as described in the Resolution of Intention
passed by the Mayo::.' and Gammon Oouncil on May l3th, 1929,
and in accordance with plans, profiles, and specifications on
file in the office of the City Clerk, said Resolution of
Intention, plans, profiles and specifications being hereby re-
ferred to and made a part hereof for further particulars of
said work and improvement and the assessment district.
That said City Clerk is hereby directed to post notice
of said 1J'lork, together va th plans and spe cifica ti ons therefor,
conspicuously for five (5) days on or neal' the Council C'hamber
door of liayor and Common Council, invi tinp; sealed proposals
or bids for doing the work ordered. He is also directed to
publish twice in the n Gilroy Bvening Dispatch", a daily newspaper
of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in said
ci ty of Gi lroy, and. htereby deai gna ted by said hiayor and Gammon
Council for tl"lat purpose, a notice inviting such proposals and
referring to the specifications posted or on file.
All proposals or bids offered shall be accoTIlpanied by a
check pay~ble to the City of Gilroy, certified by a responsible
bank, for an amount vlhich shall not be less than ten per cent
of the aggregate of tho proposal, or by a bond for the said
amount and SO payeble, signed by the bidder and two sureties,
'Hho shall ,justify, befol'e any official competent to administer
an oath, in double the said amount, and over and above all
statutory exemptions.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly- and regl..:tlarly passed and adopted by- the )oIr1or and
Oommon Cmlncil of the ,City of Gilroy, at an adjourned
regular me~ting of said Council held on the l~h day of June,
