FROM C~LROY RtJRAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT OF CERTAn~ TERRITORY
HERETOFORE THEREn~ WHICH HAS BEEN ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF GILROY.
W:HE.c-=tEAS, there has heretofroe and on the eighteenth day of
November,1952, been annexed to the City of Gilroy under the desig-
nation of' ttFIRST NORTH'.ci;RN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF GILROytt, the
following described property located in the County of Santa Clara,
state of California, to-wit:
Being a portion of Henry Miller's Subdivision
of the Southerly portion of Las Animas Ranch
Lot 34 and Sub-Lot 2 according to the Map there-
of recorded in Book rtM'. of Maps ,page 79,Records
of Santa Clara County,California,and being more
particularly described as follows:
~beginning at the intersection of the westerly
line of ~urray Avenue with the northerly corp-
orate limits of the City of Gilroy and running
thence along said westerly line N. 220201W.
407.24 feet to the line common to Lots 7 and 8
as shwon on said Map;thence along the line common
to Lots 7 and e s. 67040' W, 75,.49 feet;thence
N. 22020' W. 264.28 feet to the line common to
L~ts 6 and 7 as shwon on said Map;thence along [......_
said line S. 67040'W. 40 feet to the westerly
common corner to Lots 6 and 7; thence aloI]g the
southwesterly line of Lot 6 N. 22020.W. 264.28
feet to the most westerly corner of Lot 6;thence
s. 67037'W. 826.57 feet to the easterly line of
of the Southern Pacific Railroad Right of Way
at the most westerly corner of t hat certain 20
acre tract of land described in deed recorded in
Book 439 at page 45,Official JRreords of Santa Clara
County;thence along the easterly line of the South-
ern Pacific Railroad property S. 220221E. 863.15
feet to the intersection thereof with the northerly
corporate limits of the City of Gilroy;thence
easterly along the original corporate limits of
the City of Gilroy to the westerly line of Murray
Avenue and the point of beginning,containing 24.1
acres of land,more of less. I'
and,
WHEREAS,said premises so annexed to the City of Gilroy were,
at the time of such annexation,included in and formed a part of
Gilroy Rural Fire Protection District,and the Common Council o~
the City of Gilroy desires that said territory so annexed be
withdrawn from said fire protection district.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED:
That said territory hereinbefore described and so annexed to
the City of Gilroy as '~FIRST lJORTHERN ~DITI01J TO THE CITY OF
GILROY~ ba~ ana the same iSi hereby withdrawn "from said Gilroy
Rural Fire ?rotection District.
