RESOLUTION NO -__21-0_..__
OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY, FIXING THE TIKE
AND PLACE OF HEARING OF PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO ZONING ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Gilroy has reported, found and recommended that Ordinance Noo
422 of the City of Gilroy, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance,
be amended so that Sub-section B of Section 5 of said ordinance
will read as follows:
Each one-family dwelling, together with its accessory
buildings hereafter erected shall be located on a
building site in one ownership having an area of not
less than Seven Thousand square feet, provided, however,
that any parcel of land with an area of less than Seven
Thousand square feet which was under one ownership at the
time of the adoption of this Ordinance when the owner
thereof owns no adjoining land of which parcel is shown
as a lot on any subdivision map which is hereafter re-
corded in the office of the County Recorder of the County
of Santa Clara, State of California, after approval of said
map by the City Council in the manner provided by law, may
be used as a building site for one one-family dwelling by
the owner of such parcel of land or by his successor in
interest, provided that all other regulations for the
district, as prescribed in this Ordinance, shall be com-
plied witho In no case, however, shall there be more than
one dwelling on anyone lott
Reference is hereby had to the map and general zoning
ordinance now on file in the office of the City Clerk
of said City of Gilroyp and,
WHEREAS, the law requires that a hearing be had before
the Common Council of the City of Gilroy on said proposed rezoning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that a public hearing will
be had before the Common Council of the City of Gilroy on Monday,
the 1st day of June, 1959 at the hour of 8:00 olclock Po MOl in
the Common Council room in the Wheeler Memorial Auditorium at 6th
and Rosanna streets in the City of Gilroy at Which time and place
any person interested in said rezoning may protest or object theretoo
