RESOLUTION NO. 526
RESOLUTION OF T4E COT,IT,iON COUNCIL OF TIm CITY OF GILROY WITH-
DRAWING FROM GILROY RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT OF CERTAIN
TERRITORY HERETOFORE THEltEIN vV-HICH HAS BEEN ANNEXED TO THE CITY
OF GILROY.
WHEREAS, there has heretofore and on the sixth day of July,
1951, been annexed to the City of Gilroy under the designation of
lfRENZ WAYLAND LANE TRACT", the followinf?; described property loca-
ted in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, to-wit:
BEGINNING at the northwesterly corner of the City of Gilroy
and running thence along the westerly corporate limits of
the City of Gilroy S. 200 W. to the intersection thereof
with the northerly line of First Street; thence westerly
along the northerly line of First Street to the southerly
common corner of Ranch Lots 24 and 23; thence northerly
along the line common to said Lots to the intersection there-
of with the prolongation westerly of the northerly corporate
limits of the City of Gilroy; thence easterly along said
line to the point of beginning, and being a portion of Ranch
Lot 24 of the Las Animas Rancho as shown on Map No. 7 accom-
panying the report of the Referees in the Las Animas Rancho
Partition Suit, Action No. 5536 had in the Superior Court
of the State of California, in and for the County of Santa
Clara.
WHEREAS, said premises so annexed to the City of Gilroy were,
at the time of such annexation, included in and formed a part of
Gilroy Rural Fire Protection District, and the Common Council of
the City of Gilroy desires that said territory so annexed be with-
drawn from said fire protection district.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
That said territory hereinbefore described and so annexed to
the City of Gilroy as "RENZ WAYLAND LANE TRACT" be, and the same
is, hereby withdrawn from said Gilroy Rural Fire Protection
District.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of September, 1959 by the
following vote:
