WHEREAS,.. there has heretofore and on thePifteenth day of
October~ 1956. been annexed to the City of Gilroy under the
designation of .THI.RD 1IBSTERN ADDITION 'l'O THE CITY OF GILROY..
the following described property located in the County of
Santa Clara. State of California. to wit:
Being a portion of Las Animas Ranch lots 16 and 20
as shown on Map No 0 7 accompany ing the report of
the referees in the Las Animas Rancho Partition SUit,
Act ion No 0 5536 had in the Super ior Court of the
State of California, in and for the County of Santa
Clara, and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the Southerly line
of.Castlewood Par~ Unit No. l.~ as shown on the Map
there.of recorded in Book 18 of .Maps at page 40, with
the Westerly line of Miller Avenue, and running thence
along the Westerly line of Miller Avenue So 00 46~' Wo to
the intersection thereof with the Southeasterly line of
Sixth Street; thence along the southeasterly line of
Sixth Street No 690 59t Eo to the intersection thereof
with the southwesterly line of Princevalle Street and
the present corporate limits of the City of Gilrqy;
thence along said line )To 200 Wo to the intersection
thereof with the southeasterly line of Fifth Street;
thence along the southeasterly line of Fifth Street
So 690 59~ Wo to the intersection thereof with the
Easterly line of Miller Avenue; thence along the easterly line
of Killer Avenue No 00 46~' Eo to the intersection thereof
with the projected southerly line of said .Castlewood
Park, Unit Roo 1-; thence along said Southerly line No
890 10. 30- west 80000 feet to the point of beginning~
and CONTAINING THEREIN 2007 acres of land, more or lesso
and,
WHEREAS. said premises so annexed to the City of Gilroy
were. at th~ time of such annexation, included in and formed a
part of Gilroy Rural Fire Protection District, and the Common
Council of the City of Gilroy desires that said territory so annexed
be withdrawn from said fire protection districto
ROW, THEREPOR&, BE IT RESOLVED:
That said territory hereinbefore described and so annexed
to the City of Gilroy as -THIRD WESTBRlI MDITION TO THE CITY OF GILROY.
