RESOLUTION OF THE COM.t\10N COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY WITH.:.
DRAWING FROM GILROY RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT OF CERTAIN
TERRITORY HERETOFORE ,THEREIN WHICH HAS BEEN ANNEXED TO THE CITY
OF GILROY.
WHEREAS, there has heretofore and on the sixth day of
JUly, 1954, been annexed to the City of Gilroy under the
designation of "CASTLEWOOD PARK, UNIT NO.2", the following
described property located in the County of Santa Clara, State
of California, to-wit:
Being a portion of Ranch Lot 16 as shown on
Map NO.7, accompanying the report of the referees
in the Las Animas Rancho, Partition Suit, Action
No. 5536, had in the Superior CC)llrt of the state
of California in and for the County of Santa
Clara, and belng more particularly described as
follows:
BEGINNING at the southwesterly corner of '~ract
No. 506, Castlewood Park Unit No. 1ft as shown
on the map thereof recorded in Book 18 of Maps
at page 40, Records of Santa Clara County, and
running thence along the westerly line thereof
N.O degree 46+' E. 2002.18 feet to the northwesterly'
corner thereof; thence along the northerly line of
the lands of the San Martin Vineyards Co. N. 89
degree 08' w. 330.00 feet; thence parallel with the
westerly line of the said Tract No. 506, S. 0 degree
46t' W. 2002.37 feet to the southerly line of said
lands of the San Martin Vineyards Co.; thence along
said southerly line 8.89 degree 10' Eo 330.00 feet
to the point of beginning, and CONT&[ KING THEREIN
15.169 acres of lando
and,
WHEREAS, said premises so annexed to the City of Gilroy
were, at the time of such annexation, included in and formed a
part of Gilroy Rwral Fire Protection District, and the Common
Council of the City of Gilroy desires that said territory so
annexed be withdrawn from said fire protection district.
NON, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
That said territory hereinbefore described and so
annexed to the City of Gilroy as t'CASTLEWOOD PARK, UNIT NO. 2ft
be, and the same is, hereby withdrawn from said Gilroy Rural Fire
F'rotection District 0
