RESOLUTION NO. 1609
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
ESTABLISHING INTERSECTIONS AT WHICH VEHICLES ARE
REQUIRED TO YIELD THE RIGHT OF WAY.
Upon recommendation by the Director of Public Works and good
cause appearing therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
pursuant to Section 15.45 of the Gilroy City Code that, when
yield right of way signs are erected as herein provided, drivers
of vehicles shall control their vehicles as required by
Section 21803 of the State Vehicle Code, and the Director of
Public Works is hereby directed to erect and maintain such signs
in conformance herewith:
1. On Fourth Street directing eastbound and westbound
traffic thereon to yield the right of way to traffic on Rosanna
Streetg
2. On the north branch of We1burn Avenue between Monterey
Street and Church Street directing westbound traffic thereon to
yield the right of way to westbound traffic on the south branch
of We1burn Avenue.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of December, 1971, by the
following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: BATREZ, DUFFIN, HUGHAN, PATE, SILVA,
STOUT and GOODRICH
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
