RESOLUTION NO. 1469
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION CONCERNING ACCUMULATION
AND EXPENDITURE OF TOPICS FUNDS BY
THE CITY OF GILROY
WHEREAS, the State Department of Public Works has advised that the
City of Gilroys' apportionment of Federal TOPICS Funds for Fiscal Year 1969-70
is $9,621.00; and for Fiscal Year 1970-71 is $9,621.00; and
WHEREAS, regulations for the use of said TOPICS Funds require the
City to advise the State of their specific intentions in regard to expenditure
and/or accumulation of such funds; and
WHEREAS, the City Council by motion on December 15, 1969 indicated its
desire to participate in the TOPICS Program, and designated the Board of Super-
visors of Santa Clara County as the area-wide TOPICS Program Coordinating Agent;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Gilroy as follows:
1. The City of Gilroy intends to accumulate its 1969-70 and 1970-71
apportionment of TOPICS Funds until Fiscal Year 1971-72 and
further intends to expend the apportioned funds for both fiscal
years for improvement projects during Fiscal Year 1971-72.
2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to submit a certified copy of
this resolution to the State of California, Department of Public
Works.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Gilroy held on the 1st day of June, 1970, by the following vote:

resolution, duly adopted by the Council of the City of Gilroy at a
