RESOLUTION NOo 1324
RESOLUTION DECLARING THAT PROTEST HAS BEEN MADE
TO THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED IN
THE PROCEEDINGS AS "THOMAS-MESA ANNEXATION 69-1
TO THE CITY OF GILROY"
WHEREAS, a petition has heretofore been filed in the Office
of the City Clerk of the City of Gilroy proposing the annexation
of certain territory therein described and designated as
"Thomas-Mesa Annexation 69-1 to the City of Gilroy"; and
WHEREAS, the Council did heretofore, and on the 3rd day
of February, 1969, adopt Resolution No. 1315 determining that
the said petition was signed by the owners of more than one-
fourth of the land in the territory in said petition described
by area and by assessed value as shown on the last equalized
assessment roll of the County of Santa Clara, and fixing Monday,
the 17th day of March, 1969, at the hour of 8 o'clock, p.m., in
the Council Chambers in the City Hall, No. 10 South Rosanna
Street, Gilroy, California, as the time and place for hearing
protests against the said annexation; and
WHEREAS, the notice of the said hearing has been given as
required by law, and the said hearing has now been held in
accordance with the said notice, and no one appeared to protest
the said annexation;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, and the Council does hereby
find that no protest has been made or filed against the said
annexation, at or before the time of the said hearing, or at
any other time.
PASSED AND ADOPTED immediately following the hearing
mentioned in the above Resolution, this 17th day of March, 1969,
by the following vote:
