RESOLUTION NO. 1382
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY WITHDRAWING FROM THE GILROY
RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT TERRITORY THEREIN RECENTLY ANNEXED TO THE CITY
OF GILROY UNDER THE DESIGNATION '~HITEHURST ANNEXATION 69-1 TO THE CITY OF
GILROYII.
WHEREAS, there has heretofore and on the 4th day of August, 1969,
been annexed to the City of Gilroy, under the designation of '~HITEHURST ANNEXA-
TION 69-1 TO THE CITY OF GILROY" the following described property located in
the County of Santa Clara, State of California, to wit:
All that certain real property situate in the County of Santa
Clara, State of California being a portion of the San Ysidro
Rancho and the Las Animas Rancho more particularly described
as follows:
BEG INNING at the southwesterl y corner of Parcel IW' as sa i d
parcel is shown on that certain record of survey filed for
record May 21, 1963 in Book 161 of maps at page 33 records
of said County; running thence north 640 40' 00" east 469.62
feet to the southeast corner of said Parcel "All; thence
north 250 20' 00" west 50.00 feet to the northeast corner
of said Parcel "A"; thence leaving last said I ine and run-
ning along the south line of Leavesley Road north 640 40'
00" east 209.59 feet; thence leaving last sai d 1 ine north
250 20' 00" west 330.00 feet; thence south 640 40' 0011 west
220.00 feet to the east line of Whitehurst Avenue; thence
along said east line south 250 20' 00" east 270.00 feet
to the north line of Leavesley Road; thence along said north
line south 64040' 0011 west 449.04 feet to the City of Gil-
roy Corporate City Limits line; thence south 200 03' 0011
east 110.47 feet along said City Limits line to the point
of beginning.
CONTAINING therein plus or minus 123,074 square feet or
plus or minus 2.825 acres;
and
WHEREAS, said premises so annexed to the City of Gilroy were at
the time of such annexation, included in and formed a part of the Gilroy
Rural Fire Protec~ion District, and the Council of the City of Gilroy desires
that said territory so annexed be withdrawn from said fire protection district.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that said territory hereinbefore
described and so annexed to the City of Gilroy as '~HITEHURST ANNEXATION 69-1
TO THE CITY OF GILROY" be and the same Is hereby withdrawn from said Gilroy
Rural Fire Protection District.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of August, 1969, by the following
vote:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Batrez, Duffin, Kennedy, Pate, and Went-
worth.
NOES: COUNC I L MEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Silva and Goodrich.
