HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 855 ~' . . i, viliJM:EAW:ea 8/25/64 15 c RESOLUTION NO. 855 A RESOLUTION DETERMINING CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY AND ORDERING CHANGES AND MODIFICATIONS PARKING DISTRiCT NO. 1 PROJECT NO. 64-1 RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Gilroy, California, that WHEREAS, on Aug. 10j 1964, this Council adopted its Resolution No. 849 of Preliminary Determination and of Intention to Make Changes and Modifications, wherein it did preliminarily determine that the public interest, convenience and necessity require, and that it intends to order certain changes and modifications therein particularly described, in the proceedings being conducted under Resolution No. 837 of Preliminary Determination and of Intention adopted by this Council on June 15, 1964; WHEREAS, pursuant to said Resolution No. 849, notice has been duly given of the time and place when and where said Council will consider and finally determine whether the public interest, convenience and necessity require said changes, and when and where it will consider and finally act upon the matter of making said changes and modifica- tions and when and where it will hear all protests in relation thereto; and WHEREAS, no persons interested appeared or filed written protests against said proceedings or any part thereof and all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard, and all matters and things pertaining to said changes and modifications were fully heard and considered by this Council; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS FOUND, DETERMINED AND ORDERED, as follows: 6~~ ... '- ... , 1. That all protests and objections be, and they are hereby, overruled. 2. That the public interest, convenience and necessity require changes and modifications as set f0rth in Resolution No. 849 of Preliminary Determination and of Intention to Make Changes and Modifications, to wit: Eliminate the acquisition and improvement of Parcel A. Relocate Parcel B to and lease or purchase a parcel 80 feet wide and 163 feet long, or portions thereof, 60 feet south of Martin Street on the west side of the alley west of the railroad. Eliminate the acquisition and improvement of Parcel E. Eliminate from the assessment district all of the lands therein lying south of Sixth Street. Reduce the estimated cost of the project to $150,000.00. 3. The Engineer shall make said changes either on the face of the diagram and assessment or by filing amendments thereto.
