RESOLUTION NO. 82-7
A RESOLUTION, AFTER PUBLIC HEARING. OF THE CITY
OF GILROY PURSUANT TO DIRECTION BY SANTA CLARA
COUNTY LOCAL AGENCY FOR}~TION COMMISSION WITH
REGARD TO A REORGANIZATION PURSUANT TO THE DISTRICT
REORGANIZATION ACT OF 1965 DESIGNATED AS "TENTH
STREET REORGANIZATION 81-5 OF THE CITY OF GILROY"
BE IT RESOLVED AND FOUND BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GILROY, as follows:
1. That the Santa Clara County Local Agency Formation
Commission, in accordance with the District Reorganization Act
of 1965, has done all things as indicated in its Resolution
N 81-115.

2. That the City of Gilroy was duly designated the con-
ducting agency for further proceedings to reorganize the
territory described in said Resolution No.8l-1I5 and Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and incorporated herein.
3. That the City Council, as conducting agency, has also
duly performed the following:
a. The Council has initiated and completed reorgani-
zation proceedings.
b. This proceeding for reorganization is designated
as TENTH STREET REORGANIZATION 81-5.
c. The territory described in Exhibit "A" hereto is
ordered reorganized and is organized to include
the following changes of organization:
i. Annexation to the City of Gilroy.
ii. Detachment from the South Santa
Clara County Fire District.
d. The City of Gilroy. as conducting agency, reorganized
such territory as indicated above after a duly noticed
public hearing this date. and withbut election. it

being found and concurred in that the
territory described in Exhibit "A" is
uninhabit&d, and no written protests to
the reorganization were filed prior to the
public hearing.
4. That the herein described reorganization and each
of ~he actions of the City of Gilroy herein described were in
full accordance with the District Reorganization Act of 1965,
Government Code Section 56320 which is part thereof, and the
terms and conditions set forth in Resolution No. 81-115 of the
Santa Clara County Local Agency Formation Commission.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of February, 1982,
by the fOllowing vote:

EXHIBIT "A"
DESCRIp'TION OF TE~7H STREET ANNEXATION 81-5 TO THE CITY OF GILROY:
BEING a portion of Las Animas Ranch Lots 44 and 45 as sho~n on
Map No. 7 accompanying the Final Report of the Referees in the Las
Animas Rancho Partition Suit, Action No. 5536 had in the Superior
Court of the State of California, in and for the County of Santa
Clara, and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the south.....esterly corner of "South Chestnut
Street Annexation 73-1" to the Cit)' of Gilroy as described
in Ordinance No. 980 of said City adopted May 7, 1973 said
point of beginning being in the northerly line of Banes
Lane and "Southeast Annexation 65-1 to the City of Gilroy"
as described in Resolution No. 936 of said City adopted
June 9, 1965, and running thence along said northerly line
N. 89 056' 35 "\..'. 582.34 feet, more or less, to the inter-
section of the northerly line of Banes Lane with the north-
easterly line of Alexander Street, being an angle point in
the boundary of said Southeast Annexation 65-1; thence along
the northeasterly line of said Annexation and the northeast-
erly -line of Alexander Street to an intersection with the
original southeasterly limits of the City of Gilroy as shown
on said Map No. 7 above referred to; thence along said
southeasterly City Limit Line N. 69 059' ~O"E. 733.60 feet,
more or less, to an intersection with the southweSterly line
of said South Chestnut Street Annexation 73-1; thence along
said southwesterly line along a curve to the right with a
radius of' 40.00 feet, from a tangent bearing of S. 73 008' 18"E. ,
through a central angle of 53007'48" for a distance of
37.09 feet; thence 5.20000'30"E. lll.57 feet; thence
N.69059'30"E. 21.00 feet; thence southerly along a curve to
the right with a radius of '778.00 feet from a tangent b~aring
of 5.~0.OO'30"E.. through a central angle of 16055'23" for a
distance of 229.79 feet; thence 5.3.05'07"E. 652.84 feet,
more or less, to the point of beginning,
CONTAINING THEREIN 14.366 acres.
