This special meeting of the Common Council is called to
order by His Honor Mayor Sig Sanchez.
Present: Councilmen Carl W. Pate, Courtland M. Rush, Everett
C. Wentworth, Charles Gallo and Wilford E. Jordan.
Absent: Councilman Kenneth L. Petersen.
The ~~yor states that the purpose of the meeting is to con-
sider the application of Mr. Morego Brusco for a license to operate
a card room located at 19 S. Monterey Street, and reads a letter
from City Marshal Harold Sturla recommending that the license be
granted.
The Mayor now asks the City Marshal if he has made a thorough
investigation of Mr. Brusco. The City Marshal states that he has.
Motion by Councilman Pate, second by Councilman Rush and
carried that a license be granted to Mr. Morego Brusco to operate
a card room to be known as Pal's Club and located at 19 S. Monterey
Street, Gilroy.
The ~~yor now declares this special meeting adjourned.
