RESOLUTION 78 - 7
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY WITHDRAWING FROM THE
GILROY RURAL FIRE DISTRICT TERRITORY THEREIN RECENTLY ANNEXED TO THE
CITY OF GILROY UNDER THE DESIGNATION "PACHECO PASS ANNEXATION 77-7 TO
THE CITY OF GILROY".
WHEREAS, there has heretofore and on the 6th day of February,
1978, been annexed to the City of Gilroy, under the designation of
"PACHECO PASS ANNEXATION 77-7 TO THE CITY OF GILROY" the following
described property located in the County of Santa Clara, State of Calif-
ornia to wit:
BEING a portion of Lot 6 as shown on Map entitled "Map
of the Subdivision of the Elizabeth H. Jl1artin Tract", which
map was filed for Record on October 20, 1895 in Book "F"
of Maps at page 31, Records of Santa Clara County, Calif-
ornia, and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the most southerly corner of that
certain parcel of land described in the Deed of Trust
recorded in Book 3767 at page 89, Official Records of
Santa Clara County, said point of beginning being
in the southeasterly line of said Lot 6 distant thereon
N. 510 06' E. 30.22 feet from the most southerlv
corner of Lot 6, as shown on said map, and running
thence along the southwesterly line of said parcel
of land, being 30.00 feet distant northeasterly at
right angles from the line common to the Ranchos
Las Animas and San Ysidro, N. 320 14' W. 1970.51 feet
to the most southwesterly corner of Pacheco Pass
Annexation 70-6 to the City of Gilroy as described in
Ordinance No. 888 adopted by said City on June 15, 1970;
thence along the southwesterly line Annexation S. 830
24' E. 1055.78 feet to the most easterly corner there-
of in the northeasterlv line of the Parcel of land
first above referred t~; thence along said north-
easterly line S. 320 14' E. 1212.06 feet to the most
easterly corner of said Parcel in the southeasterly
line of said Lot 6; thence along said southeasterly
line S. 510 06' W. 830.51 feet to the point of begin-
ning, and
CONTAINING THEREIN 30.081 acres of land more or less,
and
T~EREAS, said premises so annexed to the City of Gilroy were
at the time of such annexation, included in and formed a part of the
Gilroy Rural Fire District, and the Council of the City of Gilroy de-

sires that said territory so annexed be withdrawn from said fire
protection district.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that said territory herein-
before described and so annexed to the City of Gilroy as "PACHECO PASS
ANNEXATION 77-7 TO THE CITY OF GILROY" be and the same is hereby
withdrawn from said Gilroy Rural Fire District.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of February, 1978, by the

do hereby certify that the attached Resolution No. 78-7 is an
original resolution, duly adopted by the Council of the City of
Gilroy at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 6th
day of February, 19~, at which meeting a quorum was
present.
