AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES BETWEEN
CITY OF GILROY AND BENGAL ENGINEERING, INC. FOR COHANSEY BRIDGE DESIGN
DATED OCTOBER 06, 2014

AMENDMENT NO. 1
This Amendment shall become effective when it has been signed by the City Administrator, Project Manager,
and Consultant. All copies forwarded to Consultant for signature shall be returned to the City of Gilroy
properly filled out. Upon acceptance by the City, the Consultant's copy will be returned to him as his authorily
to proceed with the work.
Amend existing contract for Bengal Engineering Inc. for an amount of $31,340 to redesign sections of the
Cohansey Bridge to accommodate new design criteria requested by the Santa Clara Valley Water District
(SCVWD).
This Amendment extends the term of the Agreement for Services between the City of Gilroy and Bengal
Engineering from November 2, 2017 to November 2, 2018.
All requirements of the original Agreement Documents shall apply to the above work except as specifically
modified by this Amendment. The contract time shall not extend unless expressly provided for in this
Amendment.
Bengal Engineering Inc. hereby agrees to perform the above work subject to the terms of this Amendment for
design of the Cohansey Bridge Project.

RE: Cohansey Ave. Bridge: Request for Budget Augmentation for Additional Work
Dear Mr Stubchaer,
We are pleased to provide this proposal to perform additional services for the design of
Cohansey Ave. Bridge in accordance with your request.
Background
Bengal Engineering designed the new Cohansey Ave. Bridge under contract to the City.
As part of this work Bengal Engineering, met twice with Santa Clara Valley Water District
( SCVWD) to review the project and obtain direction regarding the aspects details under
SCVWD's purview. Bengal developed the final plans based on the direction provided.
Subsequently, SCVWD has reconsidered some of the design features and has asked for design
revision. In October 2016, Bengal developed a revised concept for the City's consideration. The
City has accepted this concept and would like to complete the design modifications, updating
the plans for resubmittal to SCVWD.
Scope of Work
Bengal will revise the following sheets:
• Typical Cross Section
• Layout
• Trail Profiles
• Construction Details
• Contour Grading
• Quantiles (Earthwork)
• Drainage Plan
• Drainage Quantities
Bengal will also update the Engineer's Estimate
