ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE BY THE GILROY CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Gilroy, on the Monday, March 7,
2022, passed and adopted the following ordinance:
Ordinance No. 2022-02
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY ADDING ARTICLE XIV
TO CHAPTER 2 THE GILROY CODE TO MANDATE ELECTRONIC AND PAPERLESS FILING
OF FAIR POLITICAL PRACTICES COMMISSION CAMPAIGN DISCLOSURE STATEMENTS
AND STATEMENTS OF ECONOMIC INTEREST
The ordinance was approved by the following roll call vote:
AYES: 5 Mayor Blankley, Vice Mayor Leroe-Muñoz, and Council Members
Armendariz, Bracco, and Marques
NOES: 0 None
ABSTAIN: 0 None
ABSENT: 2 Council Members Hilton and Tovar
NOTE: The ordinance is effective 30 days from the date of adoption.
SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE: This ordinance would mandate electronic and paperless
filing of Fair Political Practices Commission Campaign Disclosure Statements and
Statements of Economic Interest
