NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Gilroy City Council will hold a public hearing on Monday,
October 17, 2022, at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the item can be heard. The meeting will be held
in person at Gilroy City Hall Council Chambers, located at 7351 Rosanna Street Gilroy, CA, on the following:
Project Number: GPA 22-01
Project Title: 2023-2031 Housing Element update
Project Description: The Draft Housing Element was released to the public on September 12, 2022 for a
30-day review period. The City Council meeting provides another opportunity for the public to provide
comments on the draft housing element. During this meeting, staff will discuss specific policy
recommendations and provide the Council with a summary of public comments to date, including any major
proposed revisions, prior to sending the draft to the California Department of Housing and Community
Development (HCD) for their review. It is anticipated that HCD will have substantive comments that will
require additional revisions prior to final adoption by the City Council and certification by HCD. The Draft
Housing Element has been posted on the City’s website: gilroy.city/HEU
The staff report for the proposal may also be viewed on the City website (www.cityofgilroy.org) by 5:00 p.m.
the Friday before the meeting.
Interested parties are encouraged to attend this public hearing as this is the time and place when comments
on the proposals shall be heard and given due consideration.
The meeting will also be broadcast live on the City of Gilroy’s website at www.cityofgilroy.org.
Persons who are unable to attend this public hearing may submit written comments by email to the project
planner noted below, or by delivering them to the Planning Division at City Hall, 7351 Rosanna St . Gilroy,
CA. 95020 prior to, or at the public hearing to be incorporated into the record. If you challenge the decisions
at this hearing, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the hearing,
described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City at or prior to the meeting.

the City Clerk a minimum of 72 hours prior to the meeting at 408-846-0204 or e-mail the City Clerk’s Office
