PUBLIC NOTICE
ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE BY THE GILROY CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Gilroy, on Monday, November
21, 2022, passed and adopted the following ordinance:
Ordinance No. 2022-11
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING SECTIONS
6.6 AND 6.7 OF CHAPTER 6 OF THE GILROY MUNICIPAL CODE ADOPTING BY
REFERENCE THE 2022 CALIFORNIA GREEN BUILDING STANDARDS CODE WITH
AMENDMENTS
The ordinance was approved by the following roll call vote:
AYES: 6 Mayor Blankley, Vice Mayor Leroe-Muñoz, and Council Members
Armendariz, Bracco, Marques, and Tovar
NOES: 0 None
ABSTAIN: 0 None
ABSENT: 1 Council Member Hilton
NOTE: The ordinance is effective 30 days from the date of adoption.
SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE: This ordinance would amend Sections 6.6 and 6.7 of Chapter 6 of
the Gilroy Municipal Code adopting by reference the 2022 California Green Building Standards
Code with amendments that are related to electric vehicle charging and bicycle parking.
