REVIEW PERIOD FOR AN
AMENDMENT
TO THE CITY OF GILROY'S
ANNUAL ACTION PLAN FOR
THE
PERIOD OF JULY 1, 2019 TO
JUNE 30, 2020
THIS PUBLIC HEARING WILL
BE HELD Monday, February
24, 2020 at 6:00p.m., or as
soon thereafter as the item
can be heard. in the Gilroy City
Council Chambers at City Hall,
7351 Rosanna Street. Gilroy.
California.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that the City Council at their
February 24, 2020 meeting will
decide on proposed changes
to the 2019-2020 Community
Development Block Grant
(CDBG) Annual Action Plan
adopted at the May 6, 2019
Council meeting. The proposed
amendment will reallocate
current and previous unspent
CDBG grant funds to theFY
2020 annual sidewalk gap
closure & curb ramp program.
THIS NOTICE is conspicuously
posted on or near the door of
the place where theCity Council
meets in accordance with
Chapter 9, Division 2. Title 5 of
the California Government Code.
PUBLIC REVIEW PERIOD:
A 30-day public review period
began on January 24. 2020
and will end on 2/24/2020
for revisions to the adopted
2019.2020 Annual Action Plan.
Comments received during
the review period and at this
public hearing will be listed and
addressed in the final Annual
Action Plan document which will
be submitted for approval by the
U.S. Department of Housing and
Urban Development.The Annual
Action Plan directs how the
City will spend its Community
Development Block Grant
(CDBG) funds and its Housing
Trust Fund(HTF) funds for the
period of July 1, 2019- June 30,
2020.
The CDBG and HTF programs
are currently directed
toward promoting housing
opportunities and choices,
improving community facilities,
and providing supportive
services for targeted groups,
including the homeless,
seniors, youth , persons with
disabilities, and the activities
described in the Neighborhood
Revitalization Strategy. These
activities are intended to meet
Gilroy's affordable housing
and community development
objectives described in the
Consolidated Plan for the period
2015-2020.
Interested parties are
encouraged to attend this
public hearingasthis isthe
time and place when comments
on the proposal shall be heard
and given due consideration.
Persons who are unable to
attend this public hearing may
submit written comments by
delivering them to the City
Clerk at City Hall, 7351 Rosanna
St. Gilroy, CA. 95020 prior
to. or at the public hearings
to be incorporated into the
record. A detailed description
of the proposal Is on file with
the Community Development
Department at City Hall. The
staff report for the proposal
may also be viewed on the City
website (www.cityofgilroy.org
) by 5:00 p.m. the Wednesday
before each meeting.
