I am a resident of the State of California and
over the age of eighteen years, and not a
party to or interested in the above entitled
matter.
I am the principal clerk of the publisher of the
Gilroy Dispatch, published in the city of
Gilroy, County of Santa Clara, State of
California, Friday, and on line for which said
newspaper has been adjudicated a newspaper
of general circulation by the Superior Court
of the County of Santa Clara, State of
California, under the date of June 10,

notice of which the annexed is a printed copy

COMMISSION
TO CONSIDER THE 2040
UPDATE TO THE GILROY
GENERALPLAN
THIS PLANNING
COMMISSION PUBLIC
HEARING WILL BE HELD on
Thursday, October]. 2020 at
6:30 pm, or as soon thereafter
as the item can be heard.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that the Planning Commission
will consider the 2040 General
Plan update which represents the
community's view of its future
and expresses the community's
developmentgoals and is a
comprehensive update of the
City's 2020 General Plan. The
General Plan is comprised of
eight elements, or chapters,
that address issues or particular
local concern including land
use, transportation, economic
prosperity, housing, public
facilities and services parks and
recreation. natural and cultural
resources, and potential hazards.
which are the goals and polices
the City will base its land use
decisions on. The General Plan
2040 also incorporates the
requirements of the Gilroy Urban
Growth Boundary, approved
by the voters in 2016.A Final
Environmental Impact Report with
response to public comments on
the Draft Environmental Impact
Report will also be considered.
A detailed description of the
proposal is on file with the
Community Development
Department at City Hall. The
staff report for the proposal
may also be viewed on the City
website (www.citvofailrov.oral by
5:00 p.m. the Friday before the
meeting.
Public Participation in this
meeting will be limited. Interested
parties are encouraged to
participate in this public hearing
as this is the time and place when
those interested shall be heard
and given due consideration.
This meeting will be conducted
pursuant to the provisions of
the Governors Executive Order
N-29-20. In order to minimize
the spread of the COVID 19 virus,
the City is providing the following
