A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF GILROY FOR
FISCAL YEAR 2023-24 IN THE CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND AND
GENERAL FUND AND APPROPRIATING PROPOSED
EXPENDITURE AMENDMENTS
WHEREAS, the City Administrator prepared and submitted to the City Council a budget
for the City of Gilroy for Fiscal Years 2023-24 and 2024-2025, and the City Council carefully
examined, considered and adopted the same on June 5, 2023; and
WHEREAS, City Staff has prepared and submitted to the City Council a proposed
amendment to said budget for Fiscal Year 2023-24 for the City of Gilroy in the staff report dated
March 4, 2024 for the Santa Teresa Fire District Operations Plan and Fire Department Overtime;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has carefully examined and considered the same and is
satisfied with said budget amendment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT appropriations for Fiscal Year
2023-24 are hereby increased in the General Fund, Fund 100, by $350,000; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT $200,000 appropriated
in the Capital Projects Fund, Fund 400, for the Fire Department modular building be transferred
instead to the General Fund, Fund 100, to offset the expenditure increase described above.
