Regular Meeting Minutes

1.Call to Order: Chair Marques called the meeting to order at 8:00 am
2.Roll Call:
a. Present: Councilmember Carol Marques(Co-chair), Councilmember
Fred Tovar(co-chair), Councilmember Dion Bracco, Mayor Marie Blankley;
Committee Members: Frank Johnson, Jane Howard, Dave Leal, Jeannie
Rizzuto, Savannah Loganbach, Emily McEwan-Upright; Susan Jacobson
Staff: Jimmy Forbis, Sharon Goei, Victoria Valencia.
b. Absent: Councilmember Rebeca Armendariz, Committee members:Giovanni Albanese, Toni Bowles, Jane Howard, Jeannie Rizzuto
3.Public Comment: None
4.Approval of April’s Regular Meeting Minutes, Motion made by Co-chair Tovar,
seconded by Dion Bracco. Approved.
5.Final approval of committee’s recommendations for parklet requirements to
be submitted to Community Development:
a. There was discussion about the existing parklets and future parkletprogram. The committee did not move forward with approval.
b. A sub committee will be formed with Co-chair Tovar as the lead.
Committee to report back at next meeting.
c. Staff will evaluate current parklets for code violations.
6.Discuss purpose of committee and upcoming meeting dates:
a. Purpose of the committee was discussed.
b. Group will reconvene in August.
7. Meeting adjourned at 8:58 am.
