Subject:EXTERNAL - Re: Regarding: Tonights City Council Meeting; agenda item 6.1 - "Safe Streets and Road
for All"
I strongly urge the council to reconsider approving this item until more can be learned about it. If
accepting it, I believe it will lock in our city to greatly increase congestion on our roads and streets;
under the ruse of protecting bikers and pedestrians.

SS4A is a grant right out of the Plan Bay Area 2050 agenda by carving out protected pedestrian and
bike lanes for the purpose of eliminating car lanes.
The SS4A program funds regional, local, and Tribal initiatives through grants to prevent
roadway deaths and serious injuries. The SS4A program supports the U.S. Department of
Transportation's National Roadway Safety Strategy and its goal of zero roadway deaths
using a Safe System Approach.

On tonight’s city council’s agenda is an item on the consent calendar 6.1. “Authorize the City
Administrator to Execute the Grant Agreement under the Fiscal Year 2024 Safe Streets and Roads
for All (SS4A) Grant.
It was former Director of Public Works Heba El-Guindy who wrote and submitted the grant and
when it was approved, she proudly reported it to City Administrator Jimmi Forbis who immediately
responded saying “you write too many grants” in a annoyed manner.
What a morale booster, eh!!

Ms. Heba El-Guindy relayed this information to me and another person who also sits on the dais
when having coffee in Morgan Hill.
