Motion to approve Motion to approve the minutes of July 29, 2010 Moved by Commissioner Joan
Spencer, seconded by Commissioner Kai Lai.

A. AS-PUD 10-11 Architectural and Site request to allow the development of a 29-unit residential
development located at Ronan Avenue at the termini of Brazos and Bosque Streets. KB Homes c/o Talli
Robinson, applicant.
Item VI.A. - A/S PUD 10-11
Motion to recommend City Council approve AS 10-11 including condition number eight regarding the
play structure, the requirement to hydroseed, which was subject to staff approval and
implementation by agreement, the installation of concrete tile roofs on all units and all conditions 1-
15 as provided by staff . Moved by Vice Chair Ben Anderson, seconded by Commissioner Brad
Bannister.
VII. NEW BUSINESS
A. AHE 10-02 Affordable Housing Exemption request to allocate 26-residential units on property
located at 9389 Monterey Road. South County Housing c/o Andy Leif, applicant.
Item VII.A & B. - AHE 10-02
Motion to recommend the City Council approve the transfer of 26-units from the Affordable Senior
Housing Exemption to the Affordable Housing Exemption category and award the units to South
County Housing. Moved by Vice Chair Ben Anderson, seconded by Commissioner Joan Spencer.
Motion to recommend the City Council approve AHE 10-02. Moved by Commissioner Thomas Boe,
seconded by Commissioner Joan Spencer.
B. AS-PUD 10-04 Architectural and Site request to allow the construction of 26-residential units on
property located at 9389 Monterey Road. South County Housing c/o Andy Leif, applicant.
Item VII.A & B. - A/SPUD 10-04
Motion to recommend the City Council approve A/S-PUD 10-04 with an additional condition seven
that the applicant meet, regarding roofing materials, with a three-person subcommittee, to be
formed by the Planning Commission, and the subcommittee’s recommendation be attached to the
recommendation to Council for approval and with the additional condition that the Police Department
have an ongoing role in providing input to the body approving applicants.
