From:Jayson Stebbins To:Public Comments Subject:EXTERNAL - public comment - dedicated pickleball courts Date:Monday, May 12, 2025 3:14:04 PM Attachments:image002.png image003.png image004.png image005.png image006.png image007.png image008.png Any morning or afternoon around Gilroy you can find up to 4-6 courts of pickleball in action, usually on converted tennis courts or inside on basketball courts. Yet if you go to Hollister, Morgan Hill, even San Juan Bautista you can find dedicated courts with amenities and no conflicts, good sportsmanship and a lot of fun. Gilroy needs dedicated PB courts where we can leverage them into potential tournament locations and more. Places where there are bathrooms and permanent nets, where you don’t run into conflicts with tennis players or other sport overlaps. Come by sunrise park sometime between 3:00 and 5:00 pm M-W-F or even mornings on the same days. You will meet some great people having a lot of fun, who are advocating for Gilroy to grow our PB footprint. Please make a place for 6 dedicated courts in Gilroy.
