This email is to advise you of my objection, as a long time resident of Gilroy, a parent of six
children who participated in the days when this city had a robust program. As a senior I feel
for folks who benefitted from affordable engaging social activities that kept them physically
and mentally active. As taxpayers these funds are there and should not be diverted. When we
as a city advocate for outsourcing programs to outside vendors, the cost to our residents
increases. We are doubly paying. I urge you to work with our parks and recreation
department and bring back affordable activities that benefit our community.
